Adventure: In less than 9- minutes, we will have the fortune of witnessing the setting sun to the west, the Perseids meteor shower to the north, and the rising supermoon to the east. To celebrate such an amazing series of events, we will be running a Sun, Meteor & Moon Hiking Tour. Take to the hills with us!
Naturalist Guided Experience: We will journey to one of the many pristine buttes to the east of Bend, giving us stunning vistas for the sunset, the Perseids meteor shower, and the rising of the supermoon. We are also running a Sun, Meteor, Canoe Tour (/perseids-paddle) if you'd like to take to the lakes.
During your journey, our naturalist guides will highlight the stunning geography, flora, and fauna of the area. They may impart an understanding of the heaven's starlight illuminating the night sky. Age-old stories and myths mixed with astronomy will enlighten just as the stars and moon do!

Tour Difficulty:
In order to garner the incredible panoramas we desire, we will gain about 500ft of elevation on our hike and then lose that elevation on the way back! Although subjective, we rate this hike as easy-moderate. Total distance (round trip) will be about 3 miles.
