Spas in Central Oregon

A group of friends at a spa.

It’s no secret that we love to embrace the day in Central Oregon. For many of us, that means getting up early to hit the trail, relaxing over mimosas at our favorite brunch spot, and paddling the lakes and rivers in Central Oregon. And that’s all before lunch.

It’s a good life we lead in Central Oregon, but it can also be exhausting—which is perhaps why so many day spas have opened in recent years to help us relax, unwind, and destress after a busy weekend. Offerings and methods may vary from spa to spa, but most generally offer some combination of massages, facials, treatments, manicures, and pedicures—all led by trained therapists who want to help you make the most of your time in town.

So if a day of pampering sounds fun on your next trip, we’ve rounded up a guide to the spas of Central Oregon.

Spas in Bend

Around Bend, plenty of day spas offer thorough lineups of pampering services—a welcome treat when you’ve spent all day kayaking and canoeing or hiking in Central Oregon.

It’s hard to narrow them down, but the popular Spa W helps you rest and relax from the moment you walk in—thanks to a pre-treatment steam room session—and goes on to provide manicures, pedicures, facial treatments, waxing, and numerous types of massage.

Another beloved spa is Anjou Spa, whose holistic approach to health is best exemplified by customized skin treatments, a variety of massages, steam room services, and more.

And with two locations in Central Oregon—one in Bend, the other in Sisters—Radiant Day Spa has earned a loyal following for its nurturing atmosphere where experts listen to concerns and tailor their services to individual needs. Some of those services include a variety of massages, facials, waxing, and more—and products used for those treatments are organic, plant-based, and community-focused whenever possible.

Spas in Sisters

Luxury permeates every aspect of FivePine Lodge at the eastern edge of Sisters—and that comfortable stylishness extends to the on-site Shibui Spa at FivePine Lodge.

The Japanese-inspired spa (whose name roughly translates as simple, beautiful, or healing) prides itself on offering a variety of services in a calm, relaxing environment—one where cellphones are kept in lockers during treatment. Once settled, guests can begin the relaxation and rejuvenation process even before receiving services by lounging on the sun deck, heading into the Swedish dry sauna, and soaking in a thermal tub. From there, Shibui’s many offerings include massages, facials, waxing, body wraps, and other holistic services.

And the Spa at Black Butte Ranch, just west of Sisters, offers a variety of services—some available for special events, other available poolside—that include facials, body treatments, nail treatments, waxing, and more. Learn more about making the most of your time at Black Butte Ranch.

Spas in Sunriver

Whether you’re staying at Sunriver Resort or are just checking out some of the best restaurants in Sunriver, Oregon, treat yourself to some of the spa services around the community.

Sage Springs Club & Spa, for instance, customizes services to the needs of each individual guest—and is able to do so with a wide range of offerings that include numerous massage techniques, facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, and more. Guests can even appreciate the spa’s commitment to environmental responsibility: Water used for Sage Springs’ spa services is reprocessed and reused to water the Woodlands Golf Course at Sunriver Resort. And products used are chosen with an eye toward sustainability and leaving the smallest possible environmental footprint.

Also in Sunriver, EarthTouch Therapeutic Massage brings together Eastern- and Western-inspired influences and healing practices to help facilitate deep relaxation. Some of the spa’s many thoughtful offerings include deep-tissue massage, Thai massage, and hot stone therapy—all offered by trained and experienced therapists who keep the needs of every visitor in mind.

Spas Around Redmond and Prineville

What’s more relaxing than a spa? Try a spa in the midst of a desert oasis. Spa Brasada at Brasada Ranch, just 20 minutes from Redmond and 30 minutes from Prineville, invites visitors to rest, relax, and recharge with a wide range of massages that can be tailored to each person’s needs, detoxifying facials, waxing, body wraps, and more. Spa Brasada partners with regional partners for its supplies, a relaxation room (centered around a cozy fireplace) invites guests to center themselves before and after treatments, and each locker room comes with steam rooms, showers, robes, slippers, and other luxurious offerings.

Nestled between Bend and Redmond in Oregon’s high desert, Juniper Spa at Juniper Preserve helps promote rest and reduce tension through a suite of massage, facials, and body treatments suited to each guest. Packages and enhancements are available, as well.
